For an early Mother's Day visit we drove down to Niagara today to have brunch with my Mom at August in Beamsville. It was yummy! Of course, I had Dave's Omelette. It was great to catch up with my Mom. One of my uncles is sadly having a tough time right now, hopefully he turns things around. We talked a lot about the house we are looking at in Barry's Bay. The dogs were left kenneled at home so... it was a short visit. Fortunately, traffic wasn't too bad...
Habs win in game 7 vs. Tampa Bay and will meet the Sabres in Round Two! Should be a fast skating, high skill series... Obviously, I'm backing the Sabres... but I'd cheer for the Habs if they get to the Eastern final.
Bdot found another place in the Bay to look at. This one has waterfront... smaller property, some dubious interior, kitchen is gross, rooms are a good size, exterior is ready to enjoy, deck, dock, sauna, also a decent sized garage. It is listed for less than the Bark Lake property...So we'll see. It is certainly worth a look. As great as photos are, I find you really need to see a property in person for fully appreciate it unless it is obviously a hard pass. We've continued cleaning and decluttering... stuff if flying out of the house. Regardless what happens - this will be rewarding.
Cut the lawn for the first time this Spring today... it looked like the electric mower wasn't going to start for a while there... but suddenly, vroom vroom. *shrug*
It looks like one of the cancelled ball hockey games won't be replaced. It would be a shame for my last ball hockey games to be played on this random team and not my true team. Meh.
