After a month of no games...there was finally a ball hockey game last night...We were already not a complete team so when two of our top players were out - kinda figured it would be a long night. And it was... It started okay but after a few got by our 'goalie' he does what he always does...Points figures and blames anyone but himself. I've mostly ignored him but you can only suffer fools for so long... It wasn't just pointed at me he started barking at other team mates - so I gave he a little piece of attitude - nothing too harsh but it nevertheless seemed to break the big baby. *eyeroll* And he starting sulking...He literally sat down in his net and continued to let goal after goal in. He eventually had a tantrum and tossed his equipment. Didn't shake after the game and declared immediately afterwards that he's out for next week. Wow. Just wow... Anyway, in spite of that I still had a decent night and could have played more...
Which I did this morning... For a few weeks my primary teammates have been getting together in Orangeville for some practice and fun on an outdoor hockey rink. It is actually pretty decent for a free public space. It's a regulation size rink, nets, boards, fences, nice smooth concrete...really nice for ball hockey. We played for about two hours... I don't remember the last time I played outside. It was fun. I didn't bring my hockey gloves which was a mistake... I've forgotten how much the knob of the stick rubs on the inside of the hand... It literally was ripping my skin off. Ouchy. Also got a bit sunburnt... still nice to get some air and exercise. I'm feeling now however...
So... Game 6. Sabres. Habs. In Montreal. After game five's 3rd period no show, I thought they were going to get smoked in Montreal. And it sure started off that way... Lyon let in 3 goals on his first 4 shots. He saved his worst game as a Sabre for an away, elimination game. But wow...that didn't break the Sabres. They came in the second and put on a clinic. They scored on the PP and started dominating play...I didn't think they had this game in them. It was impressive. What a win...So game 7 monday. Winner moves on.

Summer arrived. I really don't like Summer. So overrated. Already a disgusting 26C. Sweaty and gross. No thanks.
